Aerospace Club 

The purpose of this club is to help educate and inspire students about aviation and aerospace for the potential of future careers or for learning more about one of the most important modern technologies.

American Red Cross of Lakeside 

The purpose of this club is to teach essential life-saving techniques and procedures, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Fire Rescue and Safety, and to contribute to the community through volunteering and hosting blood drives at Lakeside High School. Additionally, the club will host lectures and demonstrations exploring and informing Lakeside students of various blood diseases and common safety breaches, such as fires and floods.

Asian American Student Association 

AASA(Asian American Student Association) is a club where we promote Asian cultures and spread awareness of Asian events and news. Everyone is welcome to join us. We plan to involve, volunteer, and reach out to our school and the local community.

Astronomy Club 

The Astronomy Club provides an opportunity for students to learn more about our Universe outside a classroom setting. Meetings will highlight pictures of our Universe, show videos of current research, and introduce new topics to members. Members will participate in fun activities and games that are centered around our amazing Universe. Outside events will potentially be set up where students can come view special events such as eclipses and meteor showers.

The LHS Beta Club is a volunteer organization for 9th-12th graders. We frequently participate in both school events and CSRA events, including elementary school festivals and food drives.

Black Student Union 

The goal of the Black Student Union is to inform the school community of Black history and culture. This organization hopes to offer an extended view of the Black community and allow for community building. Students of all races, backgrounds, and nationalities will be allowed to participate in this organization. Dues will be $25 and can be paid on RevTrak.

Community Initiative First Response (CIFR) 

Community Initiative First Response (CIFR) is dedicated to equipping peers with essential first response skills to handle crisis situations effectively. Our mission is to foster a community of prepared and confident responders who can provide immediate assistance in emergencies, from medical aid to disaster response. Through hands-on training and simulations, CIFR empowers members to take quick, informed action when it matters most. By strengthening preparedness and collaboration, we aim to create a safer and more resilient community.

Diamond Girls 

Here at Lakeside High School, we have great baseball teams that need your support. You can help by becoming a Diamond Girl! Being a Diamond Girl will require some commitment but we are a very flexible group of young ladies. Responsibilities of being a Diamond Girl include making and decorating goodie bags, posters, signs, and anything else that will show support for our baseball teams (plus we always have one of the cutest T-shirts around!). Attending games is not mandatory but if you love baseball, you will definitely want to come cheer our Panthers on! When attending home games, we try to wear our shirts and be a good representative for Lakeside High. Spring is always a particularly busy season so if you are involved in other activities, sports, etc., we can work around that and still find a way for you to be a part of this wonderful tradition at Lakeside.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is NOT just for Athletes! FCA is a year-long club that is an excellent opportunity for all students to worship, fellowship and learn and share about the gospel of Christ. Even though the group is mainly student-led, we will often have speakers from the community share testimonies and lessons from teachings of the Bible. We will participate in a few local activities such as canned food drives, volunteer work, etc. The club is open to anyone wanting to learn more about the gospel of Christ. The FCA Vision is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. FCA focuses on equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. We normally meet every other Friday morning before school. In the International Students Club, we help everyone get familiar with Lakeside's particularities, learn about each other's cultural experiences, and celebrate our group's diversity together..

International Thespian Society 

Honor Society for Drama students. The International Thespian Society is the only theatre honor society for middle and high school students in the United States. Affiliation brings credibility and distinction to students, theatre programs, and schools. It is a visible, positive symbol of the quality of your theatre program.

Investment Club 

The Investment Club will aim to introduce students to the fundamentals of investing through hands-on experience in simulations. Students will participate in the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition where members will gain practical knowledge about the stock market, managing portfolios, and making financial decisions in a competitive environment. The club will provide beginner friendly lessons through presentations to allow students to compete and contribute regardless of prior experience.

K-Pop Dance 

K-pop Dance Club is the intersection of dancing, socializing, and a love of Korean music. Our goal is to give our students the opportunity to learn K-pop choreography and to express themselves all while bonding with a group of like minded individuals. KDC is open to all students regardless of skill level and emphasizes comfort and fun to provide a safe space to learn your favorite K-pop dances.

Link Crew 

"Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, Boomerang Project’s proven high school transition program trains mentors from your junior and senior classes to be Link Crew Leaders. As positive role models, Link Crew Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate freshman success.” -Boomerang Project

Students work on solving challenging math problems. We travel to away competitions, have competitions after school at Lakeside, and weekly meetings. We meet on Thursday mornings at 7:00. Please see Ms. Shelby’s(219) for a pass.

Mindscribe 

Mindscribe is a platform with a goal of empowering youth voices. From public speaking to what makes good literature, the purpose of this club is to teach confidence within communication in a time when critical thinking and literature are undermined in schools. Many of the club meetings will be based off of Communicative Art classes from GHP to ensure the best quality for youth. We also intend to install initiatives for volunteer opportunities to give back to the community such as seminars for middle school students.

Model UN 

Model UN is an educational simulation in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations and the duties of the United Nations. It is a great way for students to build their leadership and communication skills. They learn to work together in order to create resolutions and get a deeper understanding of current global issues.

National Art Honor Society is a place where artists and academics can come together to work on Art, learn about Art, and engage in Art at the community and state level. All students and grades are welcome! The purpose of National Honor Society (NHS) shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, citizenship, and to encourage the development of character in students of Lakeside High School. National Technical Honor Society 

The National Technical Honor Society is a joint venture with DECA, HOSA, JROTC, TSA, FBLA, and FGE. NTHS is a national society that works to provide scholarship opportunities and employment outreach programs. New induction applications are accepted in the Fall and generally an induction ceremony occurs prior to the end of the Fall semester. Students who complete the required volunteer hours and maintain membership in their CTSO earn meritorious status and the NTHS honor cord for graduation. Get Involved!!! Relay for Life is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Throughout the year, we do a variety of fundraisers to support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to fund research, patient support, and medical care. SADD’s mission is to empower young people to successfully confront the risks and pressures that challenge them throughout their daily lives. Students collaborate to create a healthier and safer world, one positive decision at a timeWe accomplish this by creating, equipping, and sustaining a network of student-run chapters in schools and communities focused on peer-to-peer education. Science Bowl 

Science Bowl is an academic bowl type competition in which members buzz in answers. Questions cover topics in Math, Chemistry, Biology, Energy, Physics, and Earth and Space Science. We generally select two teams based on speed and correctness of answers. We practice once a week after school unless we are about to enter a competition at which time we practice more during the week.

Science Olympiad consists of several events covering different science topics as well as building events. The Lakeside Review 

The Lakeside Review publishes a yearly collection of quality student artwork and writing. All publications consist of the work of Lakeside High School's students. Students who contribute their work to The Lakeside Review  will benefit from experiencing the process of submitting their original work for publication. In the spring, students will be able to submit their work to be reviewed for publication. The student editorial board annually selects the best visual art and poetry submissions and works to assemble to The Lakeside Review through all phases of production.
